MotoYard PH

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what MotoYard PH collects when you buy, sell, ride and connect in the yard — in plain language, with no fine print games.

Who we are

MotoYard PH is a motorcycle marketplace and rider community based in Cebu, Philippines. We operate this website and the accounts, listings, messages and rider profiles on it.

Account and contact details

When you sign up — by email or with Google — we store your email address, display name and an account ID. If you add them, we also store your mobile number, city or area, riding clubs and affiliations, social media links and your custom yard handle.

Your mobile number is kept in a separate, restricted record. It is never shown on public pages, never included in listings, and is not visible to other riders. Buyers and sellers reach each other through in-app messaging, not by exposing phone numbers or email addresses.

What is public: your display name, avatar, banner, location, affiliations, social links, your listings, your ride events and services, and your garage only if you switch your yard to public. Everything else stays private to your account.

Photos and uploads

Photos you upload — motorcycle listing photos, parts and gears photos, garage bikes, ride posters, service logos and banners, your avatar — are stored in our private cloud storage. Each file is saved under your account folder, and only you can upload to or delete from that folder.

Images attached to something you publish are served through long-lived signed links so they can be displayed on the page and in link previews when your post is shared. Anyone who has that link can view the image, so please do not upload documents, IDs, plate close-ups or anything you would not want seen publicly. Images may still carry camera metadata; strip it before uploading if that matters to you.

Deleting a listing, ride, service or garage bike removes it from the site. Ask us and we will purge the underlying files as well.

Messages

Messages you send through MotoYard PH are stored in our database so both sides can read the conversation later. Each message records the sender, the recipient, the text, the time sent, whether it has been read, and what it is about (a motorcycle, part, ride or service listing).

Only you and the rider you are talking to can read your conversation. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: our administrators can access message content when investigating a report, a scam or abuse, or when the law requires it.

We forward a copy of new messages to your registered email address so you do not miss a buyer. That notification email includes the sender's display name and the message text, and is delivered through our email provider. Do not share bank details, OTPs or government IDs in chat.

Reports and moderation

If you report a listing or a rider, we store the report, the reason and your account ID so our team can act on it. Moderation notes and account status are visible only to administrators.

Advertising inquiries

If you submit the banner advertising form, we store the name, email, mobile number, business name, budget and message you provide, purely so we can reply to you about ad slots.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run the site — our cloud database, file storage, email delivery and map/location services — and only to the extent they need to deliver those features. We may also disclose data when required by Philippine law or to protect riders from fraud and harm.

How long we keep it

Account details, listings, photos and messages are kept while your account is active. Deleted posts are removed from the site immediately. When you close your account, we delete your profile, listings, garage, photos and messages, except records we are required to keep for fraud or legal reasons.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your profile, listings, photos and rides at any time from My Yard. You can keep your garage private, remove your mobile number, and unlink social pages whenever you want.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) you may ask for a copy of your data, request corrections, or ask us to erase it. Email privacy@motoyardph.com and we will respond.

Security

Data is stored with row-level access rules so riders can only read their own private records, storage buckets are private by default, and administrator access is limited to a small team. No system is perfect — if you spot something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page. Keep riding, keep it clean, and keep your personal details in the chat, not in the photos.
